This art piece describes a process that a child with emotional needs, who initially did not know how to read and identify emotions in others, went through. 

The piece describes a moment of profound transformation, when the boy received a knitted woolen scarf from his grandmother, whom he loved so much, and came to ask her to knit another scarf for his friend as well. 

The sculpture expresses the moment of cracking of the hard armor that surrounded his soul, and the beginning of the process of softening and emotional development, by combining two contrasting materials: the rigid and inflexible material of the ceramic, and the soft and flexible material of the knitted wool, and uses both as a metaphor for the process the child had experienced.
