But all these names are like changing garments,

But who am I really?

What is my true identity?

What will determine how I act and where I will go?

How will I respond to the world and where will time take me with it?

There is one name that constitutes my being,

That leads my actions,

And controls my emotions.

This name is the name I wrote for myself.

The name that I – and only I – attached to my forehead.

What I think about myself,

The value I assign to my inner self,

The definitions I have given myself with my own honor –

These are what will determine who I really am.

These are what will constitute my true identity.

Redemption is liberation from all the names others have given me.

Redemption is liberation from all the labels I have attached to myself since my childhood.

Redemption is giving myself my true name.
