In Chasidus, the man is described as the "light" and the woman as the "vessel". It is the man's role to adjust his light to fit his wife`s vessel, and, in contrast, the woman's role is to become a container that is fit for his light and can transfer it to the home and family.

In this piece, I chose to paint a special moment at my daughter`s wedding, when the groom covers the bride and she on her end receives the cloth covering from him.
