This artwork is dedicated to my mother, Margalit Tzipora, may she rest in peace. My mother helped herself heal through art and passed on this love and passion of all kinds of art to her children and grandchildren.

For days, months, and years, you fought and never gave up

To survive the challenging treatments, you persisted

And grew your birds on a sturdy branch

Mother,

There was a strong desire within me to give you strength

Together we went to an art course at the craft center

And there you found what your soul loved, your passion

The world of art was a healing potion for you

Painting, engraving, mosaics, flower arranging,

Judaica, ceramics, and every kind of material

Mother,

You never gave up for yourself

You believed in the power of the art

You arranged art lessons for all your grandchildren

Mother,

You are the one who introduced me to Hashem

You are the one who instilled in me the art of thought

You are the one who ignited in me the desire, the longing

To hold a brush, to contemplate, to deepen and express worlds and insights.
