It is told that the Baal Shem Tov was once traveling with his students and speaking to them about the fear of Heaven and the work of the Creator when they passed by a tree. The Baal Shem Tov descended from the wagon and stood next to the tree, standing and praying with great intent. He then commanded his disciple, Leib Ben Sarah, to light a candle in the hole in the tree. The candle was lit and the Baal Shem Tov stood next to it, whispering a prayer in awe and intensitty until his  fire was extingished, and at that moment the Baal Shem Tov looked up to the Heavens and cried in a joyful voice: "Thank you, the Almighty!" The Baal Shem Tov and his disciples went out dancing enthusiastically in the moonlight and said:" Salvations and consolation to our fellow Israelites!
