The twelve squares that make up the complete work of art represent the “Parochet” . Each square hints to one of the tribes of Israel. Each tribe is unique, and has the characteristics described in the Torah and Midrashim. The tribes are visually represented by one of the twelve sons of Jacob, through the color of the stones in the breastplate, the symbol of the tribe, to the deep and abstract idea that underlies contemporary creation. Each square stands on its own as an individual, and together they form a common fabric of Klal Am Yisrael, working together for the complete unification as One: “Israel, Oriyta and Kodsha Brich Hu”.
