The artwork deals with the carrying of opposites between the body and the soul, especially in the later years.
Artist Ofra Schwab writes:
"In the body, there is a natural process of decay, withering, and shedding as old age approaches – a physical process that cannot be avoided. However, in contrast, the soul can actually flourish and grow stronger – when a person engages in Torah and mitzvot, nourishes their spiritual world, and illuminates their soul.
This is a profound paradox – as the body fades, the soul can rise and shine. Within the external decline, an internal growth takes place in secret."
