The war in Gaza, brought about a significant reconnection to Judaism for many. This artwork depicts a true story of a soldier who decided to lay Tefillin for the first time since his Bar Mitzvah. He didnt know where he would get a good set of Tefillin, but to his surprise he received a gift of very expensive and good set of Tefillin from someone who heard about his request, that he didn't even know. A Rabbi came to bless the soldier just before he left his home to join the fighting in Gaza. This story is not just a personal story. It represents a Jewish spiritual awakening that has not been seen for decades, a reconnection to Jewish identity, stemming from the cry of the heart.
