About 5 years ago, my mother-in-law moved next to us. Our connection was beyond nature. I put a lot of love and effort into it in order to bring Nachas to the Creator and of course to my mother-in-law. I really delved into the mitzvah of respecting parents: I read books, consulted with rabbis and did a lot of self-work.

A few months ago my mother-in-law passed away Z"L. Her tablecloth is the background of my painting and the Pasuk reminds me of the insights in Avodas Hashem that I gained from my investment in this relationship: 'to raise the Shechinah from dust".
